LTPS, known as Low Temperature Poly-Silicon, or Low Temperature Poly-Silicon Technology, is a thin-film transistor used in TFTs for display screens.

Compared to traditional amorphous silicon a-Si, LTPS uses polycrystalline silicon films deposited at low temperatures, resulting in a more regular crystal structure. This process allows for higher pixel densities and faster response times, ensuring a more detailed and smooth display.

Today, due to the relative maturity of the LTPS manufacturing process, both LCD and OLED screens use LTPS technology by default.
